How to Read the Tryout Results Table Below

Your child's identifier is the bib number worn at the (most recent) tryout. If a number was not assigned, the identifier consists of the first letter of your last name followed by the last four digits of your phone number or the first letter of your last name and your date of birth. For example, for an imaginary player named Rodney Carpenter with a phone number of 593-8437 and a date of birth of 11/21/90, the identifier would be either "C8437" or "C-11/21/90". If you don't remember or don't see your child's tryout number, please email the SAYSO office.

OUTCOME KEY

ACCEPTED - WHAT'S NEXT? = Congratulations. You have been accepted to a SAYSO academy for the spring. To keep you place in the academy, you must register and pay your fees before the deadline. Click on "What's Next?" for more information about the team, about registration, and about SAYSO and competitive soccer in CYSA and US Club Soccer.
WAITLIST -  What is this? = You have been accepted, but the SAYSO academy in your age group is full. You are on a waiting list pending an opening. Plaes on the team usually open up within a week or two after tryouts. When a space opens up, you will be placed on a SAYSO team. You do not have to tryout again. You will be invited via email to practice with the appropriate academy until a space opens up. In the meantime, you'll be practicing with the team during preseason play days.
PROVISIONAL- What is this? = You have been provisionally accepted to a SAYSO academy because your tryout results were incomplete or inconclusive. We want to see you one more time at an upcoming play day or team practice. The schedule of upcoming play days is available by clicking here. You will also be receiving an invitation and more information via email.
EXPANSION - Your tryout went well, but SAYSO doesn't yet have enough players in your age group to form a complete team. No matter how many players SAYSO puts on existing teams, there isn't enough room for everyone without forming a new team. SAYSO is communicating with other players to see if, together with them, it will be possible to accommodate you. We are also expecting that new players will be looking for teams after AYSO winter league has finished. We will let you know via email if and when SAYSO has found enough players to assemble into a team. You, in fact, can assist SAYSO by suggesting and/or recruiting additional players in the appropriate age group. You probably know several players in your age group who would be thrilled to be given an opportunity. Until we give up trying to form a new team, you will be invited to SAYSO playdays and practices.
THANK YOU - What to say? = We don't have an appropriate team for you at this time. There are many reasons why this is possible. We want to see you next year after you have had another season of playing experience. Thank you for the opportunity to get to know you.
