These tournaments will be played under FIFA rules as modified for youth play and the
tournament rules
stated below:
1. Registration: The coach, assistant coach or manager must check the
team in prior to playing. There is no on-field check-in.
Check-in will be held on [Date], at [Location] preceding the tournament
(7:00-9:00 p.m.) Required documents are the goldenrod roster, signed players' and coaches' passes,
documentation for all adds, drops, and transfers, and the membership forms
(releases) with
original player &
parent / guardian signatures.
2. Protests: All games will be considered final and no protests will be allowed.
3. Length of games:

4. Home Team: The home team (listed first on the game schedule) is
responsible for changing
jerseys if color conflicts arise and shall furnish the game ball. Home team
shall have the choice of field side for both teams.
5. Game Cards: Use the pre-coded game cards issued to the scheduled home
team and/or distributed by the Field Marshal.
6. Game Time: Games will be started at scheduled start time. If a team has not
taken the field with
a minimum of 7 players within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time, it will forfeit that game
to the team with at least
7 players in attendance.
7. Substitutions: Unlimited substitutions allowed. Standard youth
substitution rules will apply.
8. Ejections: Players receiving a red card will automatically be suspended from
his or her team’s
next game. Upon review by the Tournament Committee, further disciplinary action
may be imposed.
9. Game Points:
6 points for a WIN
3 points for a TIE
0 points for a LOSS
1 point for each goal scored up to 3 per game
1 point for each shut out
Forfeits - 7 points will be awarded to the team that fields a full team,
on time.
10. Tie-Breaking: Ties will stand in preliminary games.
To advance to the Championship and Consolation
Finals (in order):
(a) Head-to- head record
(b) Team allowing fewest goals against.
(c) Team scoring most goals (up to 3 per game max.)
(d) FIFA penalty kicks (time set by Tournament Committee)
Tie-Breaking for Championship and Consolation Games:
(a) Two overtime periods (10 minutes halves)
(b) FIFA penalty kicks
11. Awards: All participants will receive a Tournament Pin and a Program. 1st
through 4th place
awards will be provided for all age divisions with 8 teams.
12. Divisions: Each age division will be grouped in (2) flights/divisions. The
team with the highest
number of points will be declared the flight/division winner, and where
applicable will advance to the
Championship game. The teams with the 2nd highest number of points in the two
flights/divisions will
advance to the Consolation game where applicable.
13. Alcoholic Beverages: Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is
expressly prohibited at all fields. Any team members or parents found
violating this rule
will automatically forfeit all games played and will be suspended from this
tournament.
14. Sportsmanship: Good Sportsmanship is required at all times. Coaches are
responsible for the conduct of their players, parents and spectators.
15. Bench and Spectator Sides: Bench areas for both teams will be on the same side of the field. Spectators will be on the opposite side of the field.
